ECU error P0444

i currently have a P0444 trouble code on my ECU. Car is a 485R
Does anyone else experienced this? if yes, how to solve it?

this is a canister issue, whereby there is either a leak in the vacuum hose or in the fuel tine or in the conroling valve. Sometimes the canister can be broken

It isn t a critical fault but need to be cured

Justement il y en a un, mais aucune idée de comment ça fonctionne ce machin.

The EVAP system control fuel vapors. The canister is connected to the tank which is sealed.

When the engne works, a valve opens and the engine sucks (Sorry that ork is altered automatially to chausettes by the forum I mean it S.UC.K.S) the vapors from the canister.

There is a sensor in the tank which may detected a abnormal air pressure created by a loose hose, a faulty tank cap etc...

You mention tank cap, about that. Is your tank cap a bit loose like mine? if it should close the tank airtight i think mine is failing its function... Will have to check why, since car is not even 1 year old.

Yes the cap has to be air tight. You should hear after a drive a slight depression allowing air inside the tank when opening the cap

Depending on your cap, you may slightly tigthen a screw to adjust for closure on he back of the cap

On tuesday i will check if it has any adjustment screws of any sort, and i will check the evap canister as well, once i put the car on jack stands...

As far as I recall there is a bolt on the back of the cap to tighten the lock.

Pipes connect to three welded tubes and you should check that each of those are fully secured in position, and then follow their route to the car. It is n t uncommon that one of them work loose at connection to the filler neck

I managed to tighten the bolt on the back of the cap, and made it a bit more tight. I will keep this updated if the problem is not solved.
If you do not hear from me again about this p0444, consider it solved.
